You turn at the edge of a block to see a grand Neoclassical building across a courtyard, its facade cast in a golden light, its wide steps dotted with sitting, wandering people. You walk over to see what the big deal is — turns out, it’s a museum, and tickets are pretty cheap today, so you buy one and wander the vast atrium, illuminated by moonlight and chandeliers.
