Penmanship

It seems people always have a small thing which they’re obsessed with perfecting or collecting, such as high-quality notebooks or historical grammar. I have a friend who has, like, fifty Furbies. Anyway, one of my own cathexes is handwriting; it isn’t perfect, but it’s fun. Here are some photographs of it, with references provided.

Roman print

Sütterlin

Probably the most difficult and time-consuming, as it is filled with flourishes and bears little resemblance to the Roman alphabet.

Russian cursive

ш → ш. Also, please excuse my poor grammar :,)

Spencerian

I’m still working on the loops and curls. I also write my p’s the modern way; otherwise it gets me confused with Russian
